7-dimetilaliltriptofan sintaza (EC 2.5.1.80, 7-DMATS) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom dimetilalil-difosfat:L-triptofan 7-dimetilalilna transferaza.[1][2] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- dimetilalil difosfat + L-triptofan difosfat + 7-(3-metilbut-2-enil)-L-triptofan
Ovaj enzim je efektivniji na aromatičnim supstratima od EC 2.5.1.34 (4-dimetilaliltriptofanske sintaze).
