Antifan
Appearance
Antifan (starogrčki: Αντιφανης; oko 408. do 334. p. n. e.) bio je dramski pisac antičke grčke komedije. Prema nemačkom filologu Hajnc-Ginteru Neselratu, on se smatra jednim od najvažnijih pisaca srednje komedije pored Aleksisa.[1]
Za Antifana se pričalo da je napisao čak 365 komedija, a poznato je 140 naslova njegovih dela.[1] Prema Sudi, osvojio je 13 pobeda u dramskim takmičenjima, uključujući 8 na Lenei.[2] U kasnijem delu karijere bio je pionir Nove komedije.[1] Demetrije Faleronski i Dorotej iz Askalona napisali su rasprave o Antifanu.[1]
Prema Sudi, Antifan je umro nakon što ga je udarila kruška.[3][4]
Njegov sin Stefanus je takođe bio pisac komedija.[1]
