Teobromin sintaza (EC 2.1.1.159, monometilksantinska metiltransferaza, MXMT, CTS1, CTS2, S-adenozil-L-metionin:7-metilksantin 3-N-metiltransferaza) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom S-adenozil-L-metionin:7-metilksantin N3-metiltransferaza.[1][2][3] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- S-adenozil-L-metionin + 7-metilksantin S-adenozil-L-homocistein + 3,7-dimetilksantin
Ovo je treći enzim u biosintezi kofeina. Enzim takođe može da katalizuje konverziju paraksantina u kofein.
