Sumpor dioksigenaza (EC 1.13.11.18, sumporna oksigenaza, sumpor:kiseonik oksidoreduktaza) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom S-sulfanilglutation:kiseonik oksidoreduktaza.[1][2] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- sumpor + O2 +H2O sulfit + 2 H+ (sveukupna reakcija)
- (1a) glutation + sumpor S-sulfanilglutation (spontana reakcija)
- (1b) S-sulfanilglutation + O2 + H2O glutation + sulfit + 2 H+
Ovaj enzim sadrži gvožđe. Glutation (GSH) ima katalitičku ulogu u aktivaciji elemernog sumpora, ali se ne konzumira tokom reakcije.
