Trimetilamin-N-oksid reduktaza (citohrom c) (EC 1.7.2.3, TMAO reduktaza, TOR) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom trimetilamin:citohrom c oksidoreduktaza.[1][2][3][4] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- trimetilamin + 2 (fericitohrom c)-podjedinica + H2O trimetilamin N-oksid + 2 (ferrocitohrom c)-podjedinica + 2 H+
Citohrom c prisutan kod fotosintetičkih bakterija je pentahemni protein. On sadrži bis(molibdopterinski guaninski dinukleotid)molibdenumski kofaktor.
