Ftalilna amidaza (EC 3.5.1.79) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom ftalil-amid amidohidrolaza.[1][2][3][4] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- ftalilamid + H2O ftalna kiselina + supstituisani amin
Enzim iz Xanthobacter agilis hidrolizuje ftalizovane aminokiseline, peptide, beta-laktame, aromatične i alifatične amine.
